A part time fellowship for veterans pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree who want practical exposure to private credit, structured finance and institutional capital markets.
QueensGiant created the Veteran Capital Markets Fellowship to help veterans transition from military service and academic programs into careers as institutional financial services professionals.
The Fellowship provides practical experience, professional development, institutional market exposure and mentorship intended to help veterans compete for careers in investment banking, capital markets, private credit, structured finance, asset management, institutional sales and related areas.
This is not a traditional internship built around administrative work. The Fellow works directly with senior professionals and participates in the analytical, transaction, origination and relationship development activities that institutional financial services professionals perform.
The Fellow works with QueensGiant's senior team on live capital markets assignments involving private credit, structured finance, asset-based finance, specialty finance and institutional investors. The Fellow also works with QueensGiant's proprietary origination technology to identify, prioritize, research and conduct outreach to corporations, investment banks, issuers and institutional investors.
Understanding transactions, financial analysis, capital structures, markets, investors and financing alternatives.
Understanding how financial institutions identify opportunities, develop senior relationships and originate new mandates.
A central purpose of the Fellowship is to help the Fellow develop what is required to operate successfully in institutional financial services.
Some stipend support is available for fellows, with specific terms discussed individually. Sponsorship for applicable securities licenses is available, subject to role requirements, broker-dealer approval, and applicable regulatory requirements. Commission eligibility is subject to applicable licensing, approvals, and agreed compensation terms.
We are looking for veterans who want to build careers in institutional financial services and who bring the maturity, accountability, discipline, leadership and judgment developed through military service.
Prior investment banking, private credit or structured finance experience is not required. We are interested in potential.
